As a Master Data Specialist for Product Management, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of product data within our organization. This position is essential for maintaining seamless operations across various departments and enhancing our service delivery to retail partners.
Key Responsibilities- Data Management: Oversee and monitor the processes related to data maintenance in our systems, ensuring timely data provision and exchange between brand teams, sales, and retail partners.
- Process Improvement: Continuously enhance catalog synchronization with retail partners and B2B applications to optimize service rates.
- Collaboration: Work closely with external service providers responsible for data maintenance, as well as with department heads and business stakeholders to design and implement effective end-to-end data models.
- EDI Standards: Drive the electronic exchange of master data with retail partners using EDI standards.
- Cross-Functional Participation: Engage in cross-departmental process optimization initiatives.
- Consultation: Act as a point of contact and advisor for all master data inquiries across various business units.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A completed vocational training or degree in a business-related field.
- Initial experience in master data management, preferably within the FMCG or retail sector.
- Proficiency in GS1 standards and database structures.
- Experience with electronic data interchange.
- Strong Excel skills (including PivotTables, Power Query, and SAP Analysis for Excel); familiarity with SAP and additional IT skills (such as Power BI) is advantageous.
- Analytical skills with a strong ability to identify and solve problems, complemented by excellent communication skills.
- A proactive mindset and the ability to work independently while being a team player.
- Fluency in both German and English.
