Serial Quality Engineer for Suppliers

Position Overview:
As a key member of our team, the Supplier Quality Serial Engineer plays a crucial role in implementing and managing the Supplier Quality Assurance policies in conjunction with the Procurement department. This position involves conducting inspections on low-critical components and overseeing the quality performance of designated suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manage daily operations related to Non-Conformity issues.
• Bill suppliers for the Cost of Non-Quality (CONQ S1).
• Ensure timely and effective supplier containment action plans to protect the manufacturing process.
• Challenge suppliers to implement relevant corrective and preventive action plans and improve their responsiveness.
• Develop and oversee a Supplier Improvement Roadmap for underperforming suppliers, utilizing the Supplier Quality escalation process (Green / Yellow / Red status).
• Organize supplier reviews and conduct site visits as necessary.
• Perform inspections on low-critical parts not included in the Supplier Part List.
• Collaborate with SPQD, SQ Serial Engineers, and Incoming Inspectors to ensure that Control Plans are established and documented in the ERP system.
• Initiate special process inspections or external lab testing when required.
• Maintain and publish Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and identify areas for performance enhancement.
• Manage competencies within the Incoming Inspection team through skills matrices and training schedules.
• Complete inspections within the designated lead time and prioritize urgent inspections.
• Oversee Incoming Inspection activities when designated as the SQ Referent for the site.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in Quality, Engineering, or a related field.
• Familiarity with supplier qualification standards (ISO, ASME, IRIS, Local Standards, etc.).
• Proficiency in English and German.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in Quality or Production environments.
• Technical knowledge in relevant fields.
• Experience in managing supplier relationships is advantageous.
• Proficient in SAP or similar software applications.
• Knowledge of 8D Methodology.
• Strong collaborative skills.
• Ability to persuade and demonstrate resilience.
