Role Purpose:
The Financial Planning Consultant plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting. This position is responsible for managing the Annual Plan (Budget), forecasts, and Latest Estimate (LE) processes, while also conducting thorough analyses during month-end close.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the preparation and delivery of precise monthly management reports, encompassing financial statements and functional expense reports, alongside relevant KPIs.
- Oversee the Annual Plan (Budget), forecasts, and Latest Estimate (LE) processes, actively participating in the budgeting and planning phases for capital expenditures, workforce planning, and operational expenses.
- Conduct comprehensive analyses during month-end close to ensure financial accuracy.
- Perform ad-hoc business analyses and extensive financial evaluations, providing insights to management.
- Deliver financial assessments to aid in tactical and strategic decision-making, including business case inputs and cost analyses.
- Collaborate closely with departments such as Manufacturing and Marketing to enhance integrated planning processes.
- Manage accounts payable, purchasing, payroll, and financial activities for the product engineering center.
- Create financial presentations for management and stakeholders as needed.
- Address complex issues requiring in-depth data analysis and evaluation.
- Exercise judgment in selecting appropriate methods and techniques for achieving results.
- Determine methods and procedures for new assignments and coordinate activities of other personnel as necessary.
- Network with key contacts outside of the immediate area of expertise.
- Assist colleagues with complex tasks requiring significant judgment and initiative.
- Mentor junior staff as applicable.
- Support various projects as assigned by a direct supervisor.
- Perform other duties as required.
