ROLE OVERVIEW:

The Automation Project Manager plays a pivotal role in ensuring the success of automation products through effective budget management and relationship cultivation. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and a strong sense of accountability. Collaborating with a diverse product team, the individual will be tasked with the enhancement, definition, and execution of automation solutions across various terminals worldwide.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

The primary responsibilities include:

  1. Facilitating the deployment process to support the product's value proposition and ensuring alignment with the established plan for terminals and end users.
  2. Implementing a structured product deployment strategy across multiple terminals, ensuring product integrity and obtaining necessary approvals.
  3. Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and other pertinent guidelines throughout the deployment process.
  4. Enhancing and maintaining consistency in product deployments across different terminals.
  5. Ensuring that deployments meet specific site requirements as determined in collaboration with terminal teams, adhering to the product blueprint.

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE:

The following qualifications are essential for this role:

  • Proficient in English; proficiency in German is highly desirable.
  • Extensive knowledge and expertise in automation technologies.
  • Experience in port automation or modernization is advantageous.
  • Technical or engineering background is required.
  • Strong interest and passion for autonomous transport solutions and related technologies.
  • Solid understanding of industrial production processes.
  • Proven track record of delivering results in project or product deployment settings.
  • Strong resource management and planning capabilities.
  • Ability to prioritize effectively and maintain a proactive mindset.
  • Methodological expertise in leading iterative design, development, and testing cycles throughout the deployment process.
  • Capacity to balance immediate deliverables with long-term business goals.
  • Proficient in solving complex problems in a structured manner.
  • Leadership skills to drive the success of deployment teams.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.
  • Commitment to change management as a crucial factor for stakeholder engagement and successful deployment outcomes.
  • Willingness to travel frequently and spend considerable time on-site.
