We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Policy and Public Funding Manager to join our team at SMARTENERGY Group AG. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying, applying for, and managing public funding opportunities for our green hydrogen and related projects in Germany.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and pursue public funding opportunities for green hydrogen projects and other renewable energy technologies in Germany;
- Prepare and submit funding applications, including project proposals and budget estimates, in collaboration with our project development and engineering teams;
- Manage the reporting and compliance requirements associated with funding agreements;
- Build and maintain relationships with government agencies and funding partners;
- Represent SMARTENERGY Group AG in industry associations and conferences;
- Participate in the development of content and activities with our team.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field, such as business, finance, or engineering;
- 3+ years of experience in public funding, grant writing, and project management or similar experience;
- Experience in policy frameworks and advocacy, preferably in Germany;
- Good understanding of renewable energy and hydrogen technologies and their applications;
- German native or C2 (Proficient) language skills;
- Excellent overall English proficiency (verbal and written) and additional language skills are highly welcomed;
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines;
- Driven personality with an independent working style.
