Energy Policy Communications Specialist

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies for energy policy issues in Germany, including media relations, stakeholder management, and online communication.
  • Collaborate with the Communications Team to create and disseminate position papers, press releases, and other materials to relevant target groups.
  • Build and maintain relationships with supra-regional German media sources, positioning the company's activities in Germany and providing expert commentary on energy policy issues.
  • Monitor and analyze national media sources, reporting important developments and publicized information to the Management Team.
  • Accompany Senior Management Team members and specialist colleagues to relevant events, discussions, and interviews with journalists on energy policy topics.
  • Provide advice on communication-related issues within the company.

Requirements

  • Journalistic training or a university degree in economics/communications, with relevant additional training.
  • Several years of experience in corporate communications, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to present complex technical, political, and regulatory issues in an understandable, clear, target group-oriented, and technically precise manner.
  • Enthusiasm for energy policy communication and cultivating a dialogue with various stakeholders at the national level.
  • Excellent communication, social, and team skills.
  • Ability to work in a structured and forward-looking manner as a team player with self-initiative and diplomatic skills.
  • Very good command of English and interest in social and energy policy issues.
  • Commitment to the company's HSE policy and principles, responsible behavior, and compliance with the company's HSE and quality requirements.
