About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Legal Advisor to join our Commercial Department. As a key member of our legal team, you will provide strategic legal advice to senior management and various departments on diverse legal issues.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in business law, with a focus on commercial law and international transport law. You will be responsible for assessing legal implications of business initiatives, contracts, and policies, and overseeing the negotiation, drafting, and review of various commercial agreements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic legal advice to senior management and various departments on diverse legal issues
  • Assess legal implications of business initiatives, contracts, and policies
  • Oversee and participate in the negotiation, drafting, and review of various commercial agreements
  • Ensure contracts align with the organization's legal and business objectives, proposing risk mitigation strategies
  • Lead litigation cases, managing external counsel involvement
  • Interface and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels, including executive management, regulators, courts, government agencies, and external legal counsel
  • Stay informed about legal developments, industry trends, and regulatory changes impacting the organization
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Fully qualified lawyer with 4+ years of relevant experience in a law firm or as an in-house counsel
  • Experience in international transport and logistics is a plus
  • Ability to work with others and independently
  • Critical thinking and multitasking ability
  • Problem-solving mindset
  • Excellent communication and coordination skills to interact with all departments across different countries and with external parties
  • Ability to effectively communicate with senior management and decision-makers within the sennder Group
  • Fluency in English; fluency in German is preferred but not required. Other languages are a plus
  • Business-oriented and result-driven attitude, with problem-solving skills
  • Striving for continuous improvement and seeking additional responsibilities
