Key Responsibilities
- Electrical System Design: Spearhead the design and integration of electrical systems, ensuring alignment with project goals and adherence to industry standards.
- Requirements Analysis and Technical Reviews: Conduct thorough analysis of project requirements and perform technical reviews of documentation to ensure precision and conformity with project objectives.
- Component Selection and Evaluation: Identify and assess suitable electrical components to meet the project's specifications.
- System Modeling and Simulation: Utilize advanced modeling and simulation tools to forecast system performance, enhance designs, and troubleshoot potential challenges. Oversee prototyping and testing phases.
- Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Recognize potential risks associated with electrical systems and formulate strategies to mitigate them while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Engage effectively with cross-functional teams, including mechanical engineers, software engineers, and project managers, to guarantee the seamless integration of electrical systems within the broader project framework.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or higher in electrical engineering or a related discipline.
- Extensive experience in the design and development of electrical systems, demonstrating a successful project history.
- Proficient knowledge in areas such as electrical components, assemblies, and circuit design.
- Familiarity with SAP PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) software.
- Understanding of industry-specific standards and regulations pertinent to electrical engineering.
- Experience with specialized tools including Catia V5/V6, Siemens NX, Patran, Nastran, Ansys, or similar platforms.
- Leadership experience in managing technical teams and supplier relationships is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong communication skills in both written and spoken English; proficiency in German is preferred.
