About the Role
The Senior Procurement Consultant will be responsible for driving initiatives with the SAP Cloud Solutions to automate buying processes and drive collaborative commerce with vendors. This role will involve implementing the SAP Procurement Solution to business applications, primarily SAP ERP.
Key Responsibilities
- Consult with customers on e-commerce cloud procurement solutions, including SAP ERP, Ariba, Fieldglass, and non-SAP applications.
- Drive customer procurement technology streams to achieve successful and on-time deployment.
- Advise customers on creative and flexible solutions to speed deployment and drive business technology.
- Lead and facilitate customer technology sessions to identify and document customer requirements.
- Manage multiple projects across different programs, liaising with key functional areas.
- Responsible for driving architecture design workshops and collaborating with stakeholders internally and externally.
- Coordinate and manage testing processes with customers from engagement to deployment.
- Lead and influence resources that impact success, including task delegation to other teams/individuals when necessary.
- Handle escalations, provide consulting support for ad-hoc requests, and assist the services sales team.
Requirements
- University education.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in IT consulting, preferably SAP development or consulting.
- Ability to work in a multi-functional team environment and influence others that impact success.
- Experience creating and leading workshops for project-related work with customers, leadership, and team members.
- Experience with SAP ERP or S/4 HANA, SAP Ariba, and Business Technology Platform (BTP).
- Understanding of operational and strategic procurement processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in SAP Procurement Cloud products and solutions, and sound knowledge of SAP Procurement Delivery strategy and processes.
- Experience in strategic thinking and conceptual design of complex projects & programs.
- Experience in customer interaction and good presentation skills.
- Experience in leading virtual teams cross-border.
- Communication skills in English are a must, and German is preferable.
- Experience in decision-making within own area of responsibility/project.
- Knowledge of SAP ACTIVATE methodology and Supply Chain domain is a plus.
- Job requires 30-50% travel to EMEA locations.
