About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Cyber Security Engineer to join our team at DLR GfR mbH. As a key member of our security department, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of cyber security procedures and frameworks for the Galileo program.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review and maintain cyber security processes and procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Manage and control the implementation of security requirements and functions in compliance with cyber security standards.
  • Provide guidance and support to teams on cyber security best practices and procedures.
  • Analyze security events and incidents to identify areas for improvement.
  • Manage and maintain documentation related to cyber security procedures and frameworks.
  • Evaluate the effectiveness and efficiency of security measures and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Report on security requirements and risk situations to management and stakeholders.
Requirements:
  • University degree in a relevant field such as telecommunications, electronics, informatics, engineering, or physics.
  • Relevant work experience in cyber security, complemented by a technical background in protecting critical IT infrastructures.
  • Experience in procedure-driven environments where formalities are crucial.
  • Ability to work in a team, with independence and high problem-solving skills.
  • Very good written and spoken English language skills.
  • Willingness to travel.
