Role Overview:As the Operations Manager for the Essen/Ruhr region, you will serve as the key representative of Lime, engaging with city officials, community stakeholders, and local businesses to enhance safety, boost ridership, and align with the needs of our riders. You will act as the operational voice within the organization, collaborating with various departments such as government relations, central operations, and product teams to develop and implement effective market strategies and optimize fleet management.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and oversee a complex regional operations team, ensuring that operational metrics are met and KPIs are consistently achieved.
- Manage warehouse operations to ensure compliance and operational excellence in partnership with Facilities and Environmental Health & Safety teams.
- Serve as the operational authority in your region, advocating for operational improvements and engaging in strategic discussions with external stakeholders.
- Conduct thorough analyses to identify trends within your region and implement strategies for growth and optimization.
- Develop and execute an operations strategy that supports the deployment and management of our vehicles, including workforce planning and competitor analysis.
- Recruit and nurture top operational talent, overseeing the hiring, onboarding, and training processes for warehouse staff.
- Represent Lime in collaboration with the Government Relations team, fostering relationships with local officials and business owners to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Lead safety initiatives to prioritize the well-being of our riders and vehicles.
- Foster a positive and inclusive workplace that encourages employee engagement and satisfaction.
- Bilingual in German and English.
- 5+ years of experience in operations, consulting, or engineering.
- Proven track record in driving operational excellence.
- Experience managing a P&L.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret metrics and KPIs.
- In-depth knowledge of the local area.
- Comfortable working in a warehouse environment.
- 3+ years of experience in people management, specifically in warehouse settings.
- Proactive and adaptable, with the ability to make decisions in fast-paced environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex challenges.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of presenting data-driven insights to senior stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on continuous improvement.
