Senior Substrate Equipment Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Substrate Equipment Operations Manager to join our team at Bertrandt. As a key member of our substrate equipment team, you will be responsible for leading and coordinating the technical assessment, implementation, integration, commissioning, fine-tuning, and maintenance of substrate modules and relevant equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and coordinate technical assessment, implementation, integration, commissioning, fine-tuning, and maintenance of substrate modules and relevant equipment
- Manage the Substrate Equipment Team, building a team structure, imparting skills, and sustainably increasing competitiveness in equipment technology
- Conduct technology assessments and planning of relevant manufacturing equipment, preparing key technology and building know-how in core equipment technology
- Handle equipment upgrades, modifications, or replacement through second sources to improve overall efficiency, stability, and throughput, and solve critical technical issues
- Successfully completed studies in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, physics, or a comparable course within the semiconductor industry
- At least 12 years of experience in the introduction or development of substrate equipment for semiconductors
- Practical experience in the introduction or production of SiC products in fabs is required
- Familiarity with the substrate equipment of the industry and device construction architecture
- Ability to independently conduct conversions and improvements on equipment, perform analyses, and develop solutions for deviations in online machines and products
- Good knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing with wafer substrate equipment (ingot thinning, laser ablation, wafer thinning and cleaning, etc.) and experience in mass production of semiconductor technology is advantageous
- Your enthusiasm and assertiveness make it easy for you to train new employees and support your team in achieving goals. Experience in team development and technical management is beneficial
- A hands-on mentality and an open attitude towards intercultural working environments make it easy for you to adapt to new surroundings quickly
- In addition to excellent communication and presentation skills in English, knowledge of German and/or Chinese is advantageous
