Lead Reliability Engineer for GaN Technology

Position Overview:
As a Lead Reliability Engineer (m/f/d) specializing in GaN technology, you will be instrumental in guaranteeing the robustness and longevity of our GaN products. Your responsibilities will include conducting comprehensive testing, analyzing failures, optimizing designs and processes, and delivering critical insights to improve the overall performance of our innovative technology.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulate and oversee the reliability testing strategy for E-mode GaN products, including the calculation of projected lifetimes based on specific mission profiles.
- Supervise internal reliability testing to failure in our laboratories (HVOS, TC, HTOL, etc.) and coordinate reliability assessments with external collaborators.
- Evaluate reliability test results to derive acceleration parameters.
- Identify reliability deficiencies and spearhead initiatives for reliability enhancements.
- Collaborate with the Research and Development team and laboratories to refine testing and analysis methodologies for E-mode GaN products.
- Oversee failure analysis investigations to comprehend the primary wear-out failure mechanisms.
Candidate Profile:
- A minimum of a Master's Degree or equivalent in Experimental Physics, Electronics Engineering, or a related field; a PhD is preferred.
- Profound understanding of GaN semiconductor physics.
- Familiarity with mechanical, electrical, and thermal failure modes in semiconductor products, along with failure analysis techniques.
- Knowledge of international quality standards such as JEDEC and AEC-Q101, as well as reliability testing methodologies and equipment.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools (JMP, MATLAB, Minitab, etc.) and excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Experience in GaN reliability within an industrial context is highly advantageous.
- Understanding of wafer fabrication processes and assembly is preferred.
