POSITION OVERVIEW

As the Lead Technical Programmer, you will spearhead a team of software developers dedicated to enhancing the Snowdrop engine's capabilities. Your role involves close collaboration with various departments and game production teams to establish optimal workflows and technologies that empower the entire development team to create exceptional gaming experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide and mentor team members to foster their professional growth and knowledge acquisition.
  • Assist team members in reaching their development objectives.
  • Encourage collaboration across different departments.
  • Collaborate with other leads and the Technical Director to outline the strategic roadmap.
  • Break down the roadmap into actionable tasks and oversee their execution across departments.
  • Work alongside other Ubisoft studios to enhance our proprietary technology.
  • Establish budgets and workflows for all associated departments.
  • Implement workflows and methodologies to optimize the overall development process.
  • Engage in the recruitment process to build a strong team.

Qualifications:

  • Experience as a Lead Graphics Programmer or in a similar capacity on at least one AAA title.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a dynamic and collaborative team environment.
  • Self-motivated with a strong sense of direction.
  • Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English.
  • Robust programming skills in C/C++.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Background in a related technical field (engine/graphics/physics, etc.).
  • Experience utilizing various CPU/GPU and memory profiling tools to inform decision-making.
  • Familiarity with platforms that impose performance or bandwidth constraints.
  • Understanding of hardware architecture and its intricacies.
