POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are currently seeking a Medical Representative West (f/m/d) in Eyecare to join our team in the Köln/Kaiserslautern region.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Act as the primary medical liaison for EssilorLuxottica with Ophthalmologists, Hospitals, Private Clinics, and targeted dispensing opticians and Optometrists.
  • Deliver scientific and clinical information regarding our products, focusing on key areas such as Myopia, Presbyopia, Light Management, and Instruments/Refraction.
  • Promote our products and services to healthcare professionals through visits, training sessions, informational meetings, and conferences to enhance prescription development under our brand.
  • Provide extensive knowledge and solutions from EssilorLuxottica to support optimal product usage for improved patient outcomes.
  • Engage in field visits, medical and technical education, and participation in professional congresses, events, and training at universities.
  • Facilitate medical and technical education initiatives with the Ophthalmology community.

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Report directly to the Medical Affairs Manager and:
  1. Disseminate evidence-based scientific and technical information to relevant healthcare professionals to foster prescription development.
  2. Collaborate with the Medical Affairs Manager to establish visit plans and target objectives.
  3. Monitor outcomes and recommend corrective actions as needed.
  • Work alongside Medical Education and Sales Teams to enhance EssilorLuxottica's presence in the German market, serving as a keynote speaker at local visual health events.
  • Support the growth of Stellest, Varilux, and Light Management solutions in alignment with the Medical Affairs Manager and business objectives.
  • Track and assess the impact of educational initiatives, adjusting strategies to maximize account activation in core categories.
  • Spend approximately 80% of your time in the field, engaging with myopia clinics and conducting customer visits to ensure effective technical and medical education for targeted products and services.

NETWORK OF INTERACTION:

INTERNAL: Collaborate with Medical, Sales, and Marketing Teams, as well as the Leonardo Team.

EXTERNAL: Engage with Eye Care practitioners, including Ophthalmologists, Optometrists, Opticians, and Orthoptists, along with Professional and Scientific Associations and Educational Institutions.

CANDIDATE PROFILE:

  • Completed training as an optician.
  • Strong knowledge in scientific, clinical, and medical affairs, particularly in myopia management.
  • Fluency in German and adequate proficiency in English to comprehend technical and clinical documents.
  • A minimum of 5 years of sales experience in the healthcare sector.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Leadership abilities, including active listening and persuasive skills with key stakeholders.
  • Results-driven and capable of working autonomously.
