Your Challenge

  • Setting up, configuring, and overseeing MongoDB databases across various environments, including replica sets, sharding, and standalone instances.
  • Establishing, configuring, and managing PostgreSQL databases in both clustered and standalone formats.
  • Guaranteeing the high availability, performance, and security of database systems.
  • Developing and executing backup strategies for MongoDB and PostgreSQL databases.
  • Conducting regular backups, restoring databases as necessary, and ensuring data integrity.
  • Monitoring and enhancing database performance, including query optimization and index management.
  • Carrying out capacity planning and scaling of databases to accommodate the expanding needs of the organization.
  • Creating and maintaining automation scripts using Ansible and Terraform for database provisioning, configuration, and deployment.
  • Automating routine database operations to boost efficiency and minimize manual intervention.
  • Managing and troubleshooting database servers operating on Linux-based systems.
  • Ensuring system security, patch management, and overall system health.
  • Grasping and applying fundamental Kubernetes concepts for database deployment and management.
  • Collaborating with DevOps and development teams to integrate databases with containerized applications.
  • Maintaining thorough documentation of database configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Providing regular reports on database performance, health, and capacity.

Your Profile

  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • In-depth knowledge of MongoDB, including installation, maintenance, replication, sharding, and backup/restore processes.
  • Comprehensive understanding of PostgreSQL, including installation, maintenance, clustering, and backup/restore processes.
  • Proficient in Linux system administration.
  • Basic knowledge of Kubernetes and its significance in database management.
  • Strong scripting and automation capabilities using Ansible and Terraform.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Fluent in English (both written and spoken).
