Position Overview

Reporting directly to the Sales Manager DACH, your role will focus on expanding business in South-West Germany (Hessen, RLP, Baden-Württemberg, Saarland). You will engage with researchers, laboratory managers, academic institutions, and procurement specialists to understand their requirements and collaborate with internal teams to deliver appropriate solutions.

A solid foundation in Life Sciences (Biology, Biomedical Sciences, Health Sciences, etc.) is crucial for success in this position.

Responsibilities

Manage Existing Accounts

  • Act as the primary liaison for all client inquiries and requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure optimal solutions for clients and enhance processes to mitigate potential issues.
  • Foster client relationships to establish enduring partnerships, negotiate contracts, and explore opportunities for up-selling and cross-selling.

New Business Acquisition

  • Develop a strategic plan, in conjunction with the Sales Manager, to target assigned accounts.
  • Initiate outreach to key stakeholders within the designated accounts.
  • Lead the sales process by scheduling meetings, assessing account needs, and finalizing sales.

Market Insights and Customer Engagement

  • Contribute to identifying industry trends through customer insights and collaboration with internal teams.
  • Participate in relevant conferences across Europe in partnership with our European Event Manager.

Your primary tools will include CRM systems and your networking skills. You will maintain detailed records in the CRM to track contacts, responsibilities, corporate updates, and interactions.

This role requires regular travel within the designated territory to meet clients and attend events, as well as occasional travel outside the territory for corporate meetings.

Candidate Profile

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in biology, biomedical sciences, health sciences, or a related field, with a preference for knowledge in RNA & Nucleic Acid, Cell & Gene Therapy, Immuno-Oncology, and/or Bioproduction.
  • Fluency in both English and German.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of sales experience is essential.
  • Key soft skills: autonomy, results-driven, customer-centric approach, perseverance, ability to engage with diverse contacts, strong communication skills, and proactivity.
  • Experience with CRM systems is a must.
