Postdoctoral Researcher (m/f/d)
We are offering a full-time role (40 hours per week) ideally for an extended duration (2 years with the possibility of extension up to 4 years).
As a new member of our team, you will contribute to our Department of Biological Psychology and Cognitive Neuroscience (BPCN), playing a crucial role in advancing our research and educational initiatives. Our department focuses on the mechanisms of perception and memory, investigating both fundamental neuronal processes of visual and auditory perception and specific perceptual phenomena, such as those related to human facial recognition. To achieve this, we regularly gather new data through TMS, EEG, fMRI, eye-tracking, and behavioral studies.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, coordinate, manage, and disseminate research projects in the field of cognitive neuroscience. Publish research findings in reputable international journals. Develop an independent qualification project (habilitation or equivalent). Present contributions at international conferences. Plan and execute courses independently, amounting to 4 course hours. Supervise BSc and MSc theses. Assist the professorship with administrative duties, including teaching, examinations, and organizing conferences.Candidate Profile:
A university degree focused on psychology or cognitive neuroscience. An outstanding Ph.D. in psychology or cognitive neuroscience, with experience in planning, executing, and analyzing experiments using the aforementioned methods with human subjects. Proficiency in programming (Python; Matlab) and knowledge of machine learning techniques are advantageous. Excellent command of written and spoken English (knowledge of German is beneficial but not mandatory). Strong academic record, including publications. Experience in teaching undergraduate students is a plus. Strong organizational skills.We Offer:
