About the Role

We are seeking highly motivated and talented individuals to join our team as Software Development Engineer Interns at Amazon Web Services Development Center Germany GmbH - R28. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects that drive innovation and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and deploy scalable and efficient software systems
  • Collaborate with experienced software development engineers on projects that matter to our customers
  • Contribute to the development of cloud-native applications and services
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure high-quality code
  • Work on distributed systems, relational databases, and parallel computing
Requirements
  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related fields
  • Experience with distributed systems, networking, parallel computing, relational databases, or cloud computing
  • Experience with C++, Java, or Python, and relational databases, optimization mathematics, linear programming, or nonlinear optimization
  • Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions
  • Adept at handling ambiguous or undefined problems as well as ability to think abstractly
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous technical internship(s) if applicable
  • Experience with distributed, multi-tiered systems, algorithms, and relational databases
  • Experience in optimization mathematics such as linear programming and nonlinear optimization
