POSITION OVERVIEW

As the Lead Tech Programmer, you will be responsible for guiding a team of technical developers to enhance the functionalities of the Snowdrop engine. Your collaboration with various departments and game production teams will be crucial in establishing optimal workflows and technologies that empower the entire development team to create exceptional games.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mentor and assist team members in their professional growth and knowledge acquisition.
  • Support team members in reaching their development objectives.
  • Encourage collaboration across different departments.
  • Work with other leads and the Technical Director to outline the project roadmap.
  • Break down the roadmap into actionable tasks for all departments.
  • Collaborate with other Ubisoft studios to enhance our proprietary technology.
  • Define budgets and workflows for all related teams.
  • Establish processes and techniques to optimize the overall development workflow.
  • Engage in the recruitment process for new team members.

Qualifications:

  • Experience as a Lead Graphics Programmer or in a similar capacity on at least one AAA title.
  • Proven ability to thrive in a dynamic and collaborative team environment.
  • Self-motivated with strong initiative.
  • Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English.
  • Proficient in C/C++ programming languages.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a related technical field (engine, graphics, physics, etc.).
  • Familiarity with various CPU/GPU and memory profiling tools to inform decision-making.
  • Experience with platforms that have performance or bandwidth limitations.
  • Understanding of hardware architecture and its intricacies.
