Position Overview:
As a Research Data Coordinator (m/w/d) at the Technische Universität München (TUM), you will play a pivotal role in the newly formed Munich Data Science Institute (MDSI). This institute serves as a hub for interdisciplinary research in data science, particularly focusing on machine learning and its applications across various scientific domains.

Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage research data coordination activities at MDSI and TUM.
- Develop and prepare documentation for best practices, guidelines, and communications related to data management and data quality.
- Collaborate with various partners and projects to identify and leverage synergies in data management initiatives.
- Facilitate information exchange and networking among different departments and initiatives, providing consulting services in data and information management.
- Disseminate expertise on research data management through diverse communication formats, both within TUM and externally.
- Engage in project management across a variety of related projects.

Qualifications:
We are seeking a dependable and collaborative individual capable of managing a diverse range of tasks and responsibilities. The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Master’s degree or higher, preferably in data science, engineering, IT management, or a related field.
- Relevant work experience in data or information management, including roles such as data steward or similar positions.
- Strong research, conceptual, and analytical skills, with proven experience in project management and consulting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with strong presentation abilities. Proficiency in German is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with administrative services and knowledge of IT systems and operational processes.
