We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Computer Science and Mathematics graduate to join our team at the Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt (DLR) in Sankt Augustin. As a researcher, you will be working on the development and evaluation of AI-based methods for text and symbol removal on floorplans, with a focus on preserving essential information via inpainting.
Key Responsibilities- Explore state-of-the-art methods for inpainting and their applicability in the context of floorplans
- Collect and/or augment training data for AI-based inpainting models
- Implement and train artificial neural networks for inpainting
- Currently enrolled as a Master student in computer science, mathematics, optical engineering or similar major
- Basic Python skills, ideally with respect to deep learning applications (e.g., PyTorch or Tensorflow)
- Ability to work independently, good communication and teamwork skills
- Experience in deep learning and/or computer vision is beneficial
