Over a three-year period, you will receive extensive training at the Jülich Research Center, culminating in certification as a Chemical Laboratory Technician, with an examination administered by the Aachen Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK). Simultaneously, you will embark on your Bachelor of Science - Applied Chemistry studies at FH Aachen Campus Jülich. This dual program merges academic learning with hands-on experience, providing outstanding career prospects in exchange for your dedication and hard work. An apprenticeship agreement lasting four years will be established. The cooperative Bachelor's degree program typically spans eight semesters. The examination for the Chemical Laboratory Technician qualification will occur after three years with the IHK. Enrollment at the Fachhochschule Aachen, Campus Jülich is a prerequisite for the training. The Jülich Research Center will manage the training for the Chemical Laboratory Technician while you begin your Bachelor of Science (BSc.) - Applied Chemistry studies. There will be no attendance at vocational school, as the curriculum will be integrated into the training at the Jülich Research Center. Qualifications:

General University Entrance Qualification/Abitur is required
Solid understanding of natural sciences and mathematics (high school level)
Keen interest in scientific methodologies and strong technical skills
Proficiency in English is advantageous

Candidates who successfully demonstrate the above qualifications through a selection process (including a test and interview) will be eligible to commence their training.
