Job Description

As an Associate Manager Internal Controls at Speira GmbH, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the group-wide Internal Controls system, including governance frameworks and tools. Your responsibilities will include:

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Internal Controls Manager in maintaining the group-wide Internal Controls system, including governance frameworks and tools.
  • Work on the continuous development of our Internal Controls framework, covering financial and non-financial aspects, including Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICFR) and Internal Control over Sustainability Reporting (ICSR).
  • Contribute to the implementation and roll-out of a group-wide set of Internal Control over Sustainability Reporting.
  • Perform tests of control procedures to monitor the effectiveness of control execution.
  • Facilitate the group-wide self-assessment process for Internal Controls.
  • Identify critical risks and follow up on defined actions.
  • Support business process improvements and prepare process descriptions and process flowcharts.
  • Interact closely with business to strengthen awareness and support the effective implementation of relevant risk mitigation measures.
  • Provide advice and support for identified improvement areas.
  • Develop and execute trainings and communication material, including e-learnings.
Requirements
  • University degree in finance, business administration, or equivalent qualifications.
  • At least three years of relevant experience within Internal Controls, preferably in an international environment and/or from Big4 auditing or consulting.
  • Project management skills, ability to coordinate effectively cross-functional teams.
  • Proactive approach with demonstrated ability to effectively implement systems and actions.
  • Curiosity and willingness to learn.
  • Analytical and structured way of working.
  • Ability and interest to work independently and in a team.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Fluent in German and English.
  • Additional experience in IT audit and/or ESG reporting is an advantage.
