About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Freelance Tour Director to join our team at EF Education First. As a Tour Director, you will be responsible for leading educational tours in Northern, Central and Eastern Europe, providing exceptional customer service and ensuring the highest level of quality and safety for our travelers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage tour logistics, including transportation, accommodations, and activities
  • Liaise with suppliers, such as hotels, restaurants, and guides, to ensure seamless tour operations
  • Keep tour paperwork up to date and accurate
  • Provide educational commentaries and lead fun and experiential activities
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all travelers
  • Facilitate the inclusion of every person on the tour
  • Represent EF Education First while on tour
Requirements
  • Fluent in English
  • Based in Northern, Central or Eastern Europe
  • A valid passport and legal permission to work in the EU
  • Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail
  • A passion for travel and education
  • Resilience and a 'nothing-is-impossible' attitude
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and use initiative
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing situations
  • Comfortable with modern communication tools and smartphone technology
Preferred Qualifications
  • International travel experience
  • Knowledge of North American culture
  • A second European language
  • Experience leading groups of young people or adults
