Internship DCM Syndication Private Placements

Are you looking to gain hands-on experience in the debt capital markets? We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented intern to join our syndication team in Frankfurt am Main.

Responsibilities

  • Assist senior syndicate managers in daily tasks, including syndicating MTNs and German Domestic Products.
  • Manage and update pricing tools and databases used by syndicate managers.
  • Run market analysis and statistics to monitor private placement activity.
  • Prepare internal and external pitches for issuers and investors.
  • Support the team in pre- and post-trade execution, including drafting term sheets and liaising with Middle Office and Back Office.
  • Resolve settlement or legal issues to ensure timely deal settlement.

Requirements

  • Currently studying in a Grande Ecole or University Diploma in Business Administration, Master of Science in Management or Finance.
  • Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or post-graduate program.
  • Experience in Debt Capital Markets, specifically Syndication, is a plus.
  • Strong financial background and knowledge of the international bond market.
  • Able to develop an understanding of derivatives and structured products.

Skills

  • First-class marketing skills to synthesise complex market arguments and communicate effectively.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office required; Bloomberg knowledge is helpful.
  • Good quantitative skills, comfortable with all aspects of financial maths.
  • Financial skills to interpret a balance sheet, income, and cash flow statement.
  • Fluent Business English required; good German command is ideal; French is a plus.
