We are looking for a new team member to join our small, international team to invest in stuff that matters. Tasks Your Mission As an Associate on our investment team, you will be at the forefront of identifying and backing the next generation of deep tech pioneers. This is a role with significant responsibility from day one, offering a unique opportunity to build your investment track record and contribute meaningfully to our fund's success. Key Responsibilities Investment Leadership: Proactively source and evaluate investment opportunities. You will lead founder calls, independently manage the due diligence process with a focus on thorough, detail-oriented analysis, and build conviction to win the right to invest in competitive rounds. Ecosystem & Network Building: Cultivate and maintain a strong, authentic network among the best founders, angel investors, and VCs in European and international deep tech ecosystems. Founder Support: Act as a trusted partner and "wingman" to our founders. You'll provide strategic guidance, make impactful introductions, and offer the empathetic support that entrepreneurs need to navigate their journey. Thesis Development: Contribute to our firm's knowledge base by developing investment theses in emerging areas of frontier tech, helping to sharpen our focus and identify future opportunities. Requirements The Ideal Profile Technical Depth & Business Acumen: You have a strong ability to quickly grasp new markets, business models, and complex technologies. You bring a thorough yet agile approach to analysis and execution. An excellent academic background in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) is highly desirable, paired with at least 2 years of experience in a high-paced environment such as a startup, strategy consulting, or venture capital. Entrepreneurial DNA: You possess a genuine, burning passion for technology and entrepreneurship. You are naturally inquisitive, proactive, think like a founder, and are not afraid to take calculated risks. First-hand entrepreneurial experience—whether a success or a learning opportunity—is a significant plus. Conviction & Humility: You form well-reasoned opinions on technologies and markets but remain open-minded and humble enough to adapt your views. You have strong intuition and can make decisive calls with imperfect information. Strong EQ & Relationship Skills: You excel at building strong, respectful relationships. You easily connect with founders, understand their motivations, and earn their trust, which is key to winning highly competitive investment rounds and supporting founder teams throughout their entrepreneurial journey. Collaborative & Driven: You are a proactive team player who thrives in a collaborative setting and doesn't hold back when you see room for improvement. You can reliably juggle multiple responsibilities, manage your time effectively, and are driven by a shared mission.Languages: Fluent in English and German.
