Junior Research Assistant (f/m/d)

Neurodegeneration

Full time and permanent

Your key responsibilities:

- Perform established biochemical and cellular assays for small molecule screening and profiling on key technology platforms (e.g. immunoassays such as ELISA, TR-FRET, MSD)
- Work with disease models in relevant cell culture systems including iPSC-derived cells, primary neurons and mammalian cell lines using pharmacological and genetic tools
- Perform cellular and biochemical laboratory experiments including protein aggregation assays, immunofluorescence and Western blot analysis
- Work closely with the line-manager or supervisor and in cross-functional teams to meet project demands
- Manage bespoken project demands ensuring quality and timely delivery of data
- Proceed, analyze and accurately record experiments in electronic notebook

Your ideal qualifications:

- Successfully completed apprenticeship as “Biologielaborant/in” or “Biologisch-technische/r Assistent/in” (BTA), bachelor-equivalent
- Basic hands-on experience and understanding of immunoassay technologies (e.g. ELISA, TR-FRET, Western Blotting, MSD) is a plus
- First experience with mammalian cell cultures
- Basic usage of laboratory software, such as Excel or Prism
- Pro-active and open-minded personality with high levels of drive, enthusiasm and willingness to learn and grow
- Ability to work in an organized, well structured, timeline
- and quality-focused manner under supervision
- Good written and spoken English, German advantageous
