The Quantum Computing and Technologies Department (QCT) at LRZ is a team of computer science

and quantum physics specialists researching, advancing and providing quantum computing technolo
- gies for local and international advanced computing communities. The QCT team provides scientific

users with a broad portfolio of quantum resources and services, including quantum simulators, remote

access to quantum hardware, on-premise quantum systems, development environment tools, scientific

consultancy, and education/training. A main focus of this team is the research and development of

integration pathways for quantum acceleration capabilities for next
- generation high-performance com

As a member of the LRZ Q-Crew, you're in the driver’s seat developing and providing new tools and

methods by working with cutting-edge hardware technologies. Developing the Bavarian Quantum Por
- tal, you’ll provide users with the ability to access quantum systems at LRZ and abroad with a stable,

secure, easy-to-use and effective access system across different user groups and behaviors. You are

pivotal in propelling Bavaria as a global quantum hotspot pushing the boundaries of innovative scien
- tific discoveries achievable with quantum-accelerated computing.

**We're actively seeking great people for**:
Web Backend Development (f/m/d) for Bavarian Quantum

Portal

**Generally, in this position, you**:

- Will assist in the backend development of the Bavarian Quantum Portal
- Collaborate with frontend developers and software developers from related projects to ensure

a user-friendly experience
- Ensure stability of the portal and compliance with security standards
- Write, review, and test code following software development best practices including continu
- ous integration

**Skills you need**:

- A degree in Computer Science or proven related experience in web development
- Strong skills and demonstrated experience with Python 3 and ReactJS frameworks
- Strong skills and demonstrated experience with PostgreSQL (preferred) or related databases
- Experience with system administration is beneficial
- Demonstrated production-level experience with frontend languages (HTML, SCSS, etc)
- Great team member skills, able to work very well with others, self-starter spirit and a drive to

figure things out when faced with uncertainty
- Proficiency in English, interest in learning German
- Quantum computing knowledge is valuable, but not required
