**THE ROLE & THE TEAM**:
As the Team Lead for Merchant Performance at Zalando, you will lead a team dedicated to supporting our merchants to optimizing their operational efficiency, reducing costs, promoting education, and ensuring a positive partner experience. You will strategically set direction and goals, oversee stock control and KPI monitoring, and drive operational improvements. Your role involves project management, communication, and stakeholder management, ensuring alignment and successful delivery of projects. Additionally, you will lead, coach, and empower your team, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
The Merchant Performance team at Zalando works collaboratively to optimize operational efficiency, reduce costs, promote education, and ensure a positive partner experience. Divided into sub-teams focusing on pre-delivery, in-house operations, outbound processes, and overarching projects, we prioritize operational excellence and strong partnerships. Led by dedicated individuals,each team focuses on specific areas while working together to achieve our goals. **WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)**:
As the Team Lead for Merchant Performance at Zalando, you will be accountable for overseeing a cluster of teams dedicated to optimizing operational efficiency, reducing costs, promoting education, and ensuring a positive partner experience.
- Lead and Develop Your Team: Take ownership of a team of 6 individuals, divided into 4 sub-teams, each focusing on different aspects of performance management. Recruit, develop, and retain a high-performing team. Coach and empower team members to enable them to excel in their roles and foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Drive Operational Efficiency: Collaboratively work with your teams to optimize operational efficiency for Zalando and its partners. Monitor and analyze key performance indicators across various areas such as inbound forecast, shipping notice performance, stock returns, and more. Implement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve performance.
- Develop Long-Term Strategies: Work alongside your commercial counterpart(s) to develop long-term strategies for your business area. Utilize your analytical skills and business acumen to identify opportunities for improvement and growth. Lead your team in defining and delivering operational KPI of our merchants, adapting to the changing business climate and company expectations.
- Ensure Positive Partner Experience: Establish and maintain strong relationships with partners. Promptly address any misalignments or deviations from agreed-upon standards. Prioritize partner experience by fostering trust and providing 360° consultancy for ADM (Account Development Management) and beyond.
- Shape the Future of Performance Management: Play a pivotal role in shaping the
Performance Management team and community. Set standards and define future ways of working. Share knowledge, best practices, and mentorship to make a positive impact on the wider community.
**WE WOULD LOVE TO MEET YOU IF...**:
- You have 5+ years of experience in the field of Supply Chain Management/Logistics within the fashion
- or e-commerce industry.
- Experience from commercial and/or a commercially facing role.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, preferably leading a large team.
- Proven track record of driving operational efficiency and implementing new initiatives.
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Excel and SQL.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Solution-oriented mindset with a passion for working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
- Entrepreneurial spirit with a drive for ownership and accountability.
