Applicants are expected to have undertaken independent research and to be capable and motivated to acquire third-party funding within the framework of the relevant federal and EU funding programmes for fundamental and applied research and through transfer projects with industrial companies. A strong commitment to TUHH´s mission statement “Engineering to face climate change” is expected. International relations and networking are desirable.

In addition, it is expected that the laboratory for Technical Logistics will be operated and continuously developed under the applicant's leadership.
