**How you’ll add value**:

- Developing, implementing, and monitoring compliance programs and policies (specific to our vacation rental marketplace)
- Collaborating with various teams to identify potential compliance risks, providing guidance and ensuring our operations align with legal requirements and industry best practices
- Conducting regular compliance risk assessments, recommending appropriate mitigation strategies
- Monitoring changes in compliance laws and regulations, particularly in the EU, and proactively updating internal policies and procedures accordingly
- Promoting a culture of compliance awareness, delivering compliance training programs on specific topics
- Conducting internal investigations to identify compliance violations or irregularities, and propose/implement corrective actions as necessary
- Maintaining up-to-date records of compliance
- Serving as the primary point of contact for compliance reports, coordinating investigations and communication
- Closely collaborating with the legal team to ensure compliance with contractual obligations, GDPR, and other legal requirements specific to the digital ecosystem and vacation rental marketplaces

**You’ll be successful in this role if you**:

- Diligence and reliability: sense of responsibility, eye for detail and nuance
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to assess complex situations, identify risks, and propose effective solutions
- Business understanding and sound judgment
- Great communication and interpersonal skills with ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
- Open mindset, are candid and receptive to feedback, and possess a direct nature
- Autonomous working style striving for independent ownership, driving compliance excellence
- Bachelor’s degree in law, business administration, or related field; Master’s degree and relevant professional certifications (e.g. Certified Compliance Officer) preferred
- Proactive and pragmatic work approach with ability to prioritize and respect deadlines
- 2+ years of work experience as a Compliance Officer or similar role in a corporate or preferably start-up
- English fluent, German at least C-level skills
- Familiarity with compliance software tools and systems is a plus
