To accomplish our mission we are looking for you, our potential new Design Lead (gn) at The Landbanking Group. You will be working closely with our international team of engineers, product managers, researchers and analysts to design a fundamentally new experience to support our bold climate vision. You will be responsible for building out our in-house design and research team, managing our relationship with design agencies in the interim and staying hands on to deliver on our new product. You will be a critical in the journey

We are seeking our new Design teammate, who will have a fast grip on a diverse set of scientific, business and financial matters, with a strong process management hand, a strong acumen and sense of direction, good writing skills and an eye to the detail. **Your tasks**:

- Act as Lead Designer and define policy and system standards.
- Build, coach and support incoming and existing Designers as well as act as lead for external agencies.
- Understand and challenge the nuances of our product and vision to take them from complex conceptual work to delightful and impactful experience.
- Define research activity to refine concepts and design.
- Maintain a highly-organised level of working standard - adhering to our working practices and help us to develop more efficient and effective processes.
- Coordinate with our Product Managers and Engineering Lead to form a cohesive and achievable action plan.
- Balance desired user outcomes with business strategies and KPIs.
- Work closely with the engineering and product team to ensure the development is aligned with our mission and vision.
- 8+ years of solid, demonstrable experience in a fast-paced and complex environment
- Leadership experience managing a team of designers and researchers
- Proven track record of producing high quality, accessible and fresh interfaces and designs
- Applied and extensive knowledge of information architecture and interaction design, as well as user research
- Experienced in going from concept to final execution
- Strong hands on approach and a passion for building products from scratch
- Practical and advanced knowledge with UX tools such as Figma

**Skills and attributes**:

- A design portfolio that demonstrates solid knowledge of product, web and mobile design principles
- A creative mindset and the ability to effectively manage time, priorities and deadlines with little supervision
- Strong detail orientation, and a passion for consistency
- Up-to-date with the latest design trends, techniques, and technologies
- Capable of working efficiently and productively with our product managers and the development team
- Excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to articulate ideas effectively
- Knowledge of web client technologies is a plus (HTML, CSS; JavaScript)
- Fluent in English, German is a plus
