We are VR Smart Guide - we enable entrepreneurs and self-employed professionals to follow their real passion by taking the administrative and bureaucratic workload from them. From writing invoices to tax reports, with our digital solution, built by a multidisciplinary, heterogeneous team with a lot of passion and drive, we make a difference on how small businesses operate.

Our headquarter is located close to Frankfurt, but we live a hybrid working culture with strong remote structures.

Your mission

You will be the champion of small businesses, ensuring that our product meets their needs, empower them to manage their finances effectively, protect them from financial troubles before they arise and provide valuable insights to match them with suitable financial products ultimately helping them thrive and grow. As Product Owner you will work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, data analysts, and business stakeholders, to deliver a seamless and user-friendly solution.

Your role and contribution
- Hands-on Product Leadership: You take a hands-on approach to product ownership, actively participating in the execution and delivery of the tool.
- Product Market Fit: Drive the achievement of product-market fit for the VR Smart Guide product by thoroughly understanding the target market, customer needs, and competitive landscape.
- Product Launch: Lead the successful launch of our product, ensuring a smooth rollout, effective onboarding process and positive user experience.
- Data Driven Decision Making: Develop and implement strategies to utilize bookkeeping data, generating actionable insights that drive cross
- and upselling of financial products to small businesses.
- Collaborate closely with development teams, provide guidance and support and remove any obstacles to ensure timely feature delivery.

**Profile**:

- 4+ years of experience in Product Ownership: Previous experience in product ownership or management roles, ideally within the fintech or financial services industry, with a track record of successfully delivering software products or solutions.
- Business and Domain Knowledge: Industry expertise in financial services, banking, and/or brokerage platforms. Familiarity with the challenges faced by small businesses in these areas, as well as a grasp of the broader financial products landscape.
- Hands-on Approach: A proactive and hands-on mindset, actively participating in the execution and delivery of the product. Comfortable rolling up their sleeves and working closely with development teams, contributing to testing, troubleshooting, and ensuring timely feature delivery.
- Leadership and Influencing Skills: Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams without direct authority. A collaborative and inclusive leadership style that fosters teamwork, motivates others, and aligns stakeholders around a shared product vision.
- User-Centric Mindset: Strong empathy for small business owners and a user-centric approach to product development. Ability to conduct user research, gather feedback, and translate user needs into actionable product features and enhancements.
- Adaptability and Resilience: Comfortable operating in a quick and in-transition environment. Demonstrates resilience and adaptability in the face of challenges, able to pivot when necessary, and maintain focus on delivering value to customers.

**Requirements**:

- Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in German & English on a business fluent level
- Willing to travel to Berlin or Eschborn (nearby Frankfurt) from time to time
