**Department description / Job Purpose/ Role**

Within Group Operations, the Local Environment Office is responsible for the coordination, maintenance and continuous improvement of the environmental footprint of Allianz SE through the formal Environmental Management System (EMS), which is certified to the international ISO14001 standard.

The role of the Local Environment Officer aims to adapt Allianz SE internal business processes and operations to contribute to low carbon and resource efficient economy in line with the Net-Zero targets of Allianz Group. It includes the coordination of the environmental team, the regular development of actions in line with agreed plans to facilitate environmental performance improvement and the management of internal (e.g. employees) and external (e.g. City of Munich) stakeholder expectations.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Planning and monitoring annual environmental targets of Allianz SE in line with Group targets and creating report dashboards to support management decisions
- Initiating and steering of projects that support the environmental policy and environmental objectives of Allianz SE, as well as monitoring the extent to which the objectives have been achieved.
- Preparing and managing the annual ISO 14001 audit and updating of the site related documentation of the Environmental Management System. Regular determination of the currently applicable environmental requirements as well as the regulations connected to ISO 14001 standard.
- Preparation of the annual management review (assessment of the internal audit and the environmental data and objectives).
- Coordination of the Environment Team and responsible persons involved in the EMS.
- Organization of annual environmental assurance processes.
- Update, documentation and implementation of the Environmental Program (including the environmental objectives).
- Raise awareness of climate change and environmental risks and opportunities amongst Allianz's stakeholders with focus on employees.
- Represent Allianz SE in local fora such as the Klimapakt program from the City of Munich during monthly workshops and discussions together with other large Munich-based corporations.
- Align environmental activities with Group Sustainable Operations strategy and roadmap

**Key Requirements/Skills/Experience**

Qualification
- Master's degree in Business Administration (or similar), with special focus on sustainability and resource management.
- Completed, certified training on Environment Management System according to the ISO 14001:2015 standards is desirable
- Fluency in English both written and spoken. Good language proficiency in German. Additional languages would be a plus
- Further experience in corporate eco-efficiency is desirable.
- Working knowledge of reporting and analysis software (Power BI, SAP Webi)
- Knowledge on green building certification processes and sustainable architecture

Experience & Key skills
- Experience with implementation and coordination of ISO 14001 certified Environment Management Systems.
- Experience with assurance processes and management of stakeholders expectations
- Demonstrated skills to build up and maintain an active working group and network of stakeholders in a very international working environment.
- Entrepreneurial and sustainable thinking and acting.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Performance oriented, self-motivated individual with pro-active problem-solving skills.
- Capability to interact with key decision makers, also on executive level.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated adaptability to learn and work with new software solutions for KPI reporting
- Experience with SAP desirable
- Experience in dashboard designing and data analysis platforms like Power BI desirable.
- Experience in formulation and monitoring of corporate environmental management indicators (more than 2 years)
