**Location/Division Specific Information**

The Thermo Fisher Scientific HPLC business has been setting significant and innovative trends for many years in the development, manufacturing and marketing of instruments and software for High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC). The expertise of our highly qualified staff is driving our economic success, enabling us to continuously expand our business. Product Management plays a pivotal role on the road of turning ideas into groundbreaking products. We condense customer needs into new product requirements, bring these concepts to life in close collaboration with our R&D engineering group, and maintain our products across all phases of the product lifecycle. To support the rapid expansion of our HPLC business, we are seeking a passionate and gifted individual to join.

**A day in the Life**:

- Create and update user guides, developer documentation, API references, and sample code.
- Collaborate with software engineering, product management, and other teams about the design and implementation of world-class enterprise software products.
- Contribute to tools and processes that make documentation and software development more efficient, scalable, and collaborative.
- Collaborate with doc teams in other verticals to build consensus and best practices.
- Mentor technical writers.
- Identify future trends and support the team to prepare for the future.

**Keys to Success**:
**Experience**
- You are an expert in technical writing with proven experience in various types of user documentation and with deep experience and knowledge of crafting developer documentation.
- Experience with source control software such as Perforce or GitHub.
- Experience with authoring tools, for example, XMetal.

**Knowledge, Skills, Abilities**
- You know how to plan and build API reference output using tools such as Swagger.
- You can design and write easy-to-understand developer guides with code samples.
- You are comfortable dabbling in taxonomy, component content management systems (CCMS), DITA DTDs.
- You can comfortably work with REST API documentation.
- Ability to write your own code samples and develop your own apps is a plus.
- We love problem solvers with excellent communication skills who will drive team strategy and direction.
