The job
Project start**:1**st** May 2023**.
Your tasks
- You develop and optimize a marsh roof system for greywater treatment and sanitation,
- You investigate the performance of the marsh plant roof system in terms of removal of nutrients and common greywater pollutants, as well as removal of indicator coliform bacteria during the annual cycle at variable loadings,
- You equip the green roof with sensors for assessment of energy balance components and simulate the energy fluxes by use of micro-meteorological model,
- You present results at international conferences and prepare publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals.

**Profile**:
- A master degree in Environmental Science or Engineering, Bioprocess Engineering or related areas,Experience in the construction and use of measurement technology and sensors as well as in implementing automation and control concepts is advantageous,
- High degree of self-organisation and ability to work independently,
- Excellent communication skills (English required, German desirable),
- Motivation to work in an interdisciplinary team.
Additional skills are of added value:
- Skills in IT and data evaluation/modelling,
- Knowledge in system simulation,
- Knowledge in basic laboratory analysis of water quality is of added value.
