**Project** Description**:
LUXOFT is one of the major software services companies world-wide. We deliver professional software services in multiple business verticals such as finance, automotive, and digital transformation. Supporting large vehicle manufacturers in the area of development, production and aftersales is LUXOFT's ambition.

The software inside a vehicle was traditionally expected to be a very controlled and self-contained environment. Bringing cars into an "always online" mode changes a lot in the overall picture of the vehicle manufacturer. LUXOFT's goal is to empower our customers with deep domain knowledge and smart solutions, to develop cars of the future. Great mechanical engineering is not the only criteria anymore for delivering the best cars in the world. Using state of the art software technologies are key to provide the requested user experience.

Within a project for a premium car manufacturer you have the role as Tech/Team JavaScript/TypeScript Engineer.

**Responsibilities**:
As Lead JavaScript/TypeScript Engineer / Automotive Onboard Application Platform you are mainly (further) developing car-interacting apps / features / services for car onboard platforms; dealing with various data types, to ensure deployable, maintainable, scalable and reliable tools and services.

You are a member of a small agile software engineering team. Within this role you are accountable for your part of the development tool chain; so you will interface and drive the technical discussion and decisions with your colleagues and other internal stakeholders.

Within the team you will develop, design, document, implement and integrate apps / APIs / features / services for the customer vehicles' onboard units, interacting with Smartphones, big data backend clouds of the customer and some external parties' systems.

Your team is also involved in prototyping and testing processes for existing and next generation onboard app features and functions.

**Skills**:
Must have

Strong OOP/OOD/OOA skills.
Experience in JavaSript/TypeScript and Node.JS.
Experience with the Unix command shell.
Experience in embedded development is a big plus
Able to write well-crafted code (simple, maintainable, robust, reusable, well-tested)
Upper intermediate level of English, willing to learn German recommended

Nice to have

Experience in Atlassian JIRA
Experience in GIT
Knowledge of XML/JSON
Experience in automation testing and unit testing
