**About this opportunity**:
Our focus is on advanced passive and active antenna systems from 2G to 5G and beyond. We’re engaged in antenna systemization to improve overall system performance, drive and secure antenna technology and development.

The team is involved in all aspects of the product development process, technical studies, pre-development and designs for high volume products. Our focus is on Lean and Agile ways of working. We organize in cross functional development teams in which continuous improvement, innovation and knowledge sharing is part of the daily work.

Your role will include antenna system engineering activities such as: requirement analysis, system design and simulations, tools design, Product Lifecycle Management support and product documentation.

**What you will do**:
The work as an Antenna System Designer includes, but is not limited to:

- Define architecture design base, platform and variant antenna system proposals based on 3D full electromagnetic wave simulations
- Define architecture platform proposals based on existing antenna design bases with 3D full electromagnetic wave simulations
- Define architecture variant antenna proposals based on 3D full electromagnetic wave simulations
- Predict antenna performance digitally and compare with requirements
- Check and describe architecture options with common quality, performance and cost parameter
- Feedback all stakeholder with emerging K-Gaps
- Contribute or drive predevelopment projects according K-Gaps
- Perform reviews within antenna design base/platform/variant development projects
- Perform continuous analysis of requirements to understand impact of the existing product
- Manage third party products/components as part of the design solution
- Perform system design
- Propose product evolution
- Align technology strategies with product and technology development
- Take part in and understand technical strategies for own product area
- Act as a mentor and coach for R&D colleagues
- Identify, initiate and drive improvements in products and processes in own PDU
- Acts as a competence builder in the organization through presentations, lectures, and/or workshops

**You will bring**:

- Master of Science, Ph.D., Post Doc or similar degrees in Electrical Engineering or Engineering Physics, preferably with emphasis on RF antenna design
- 5+ years of work experience within system engineering and/or RF antenna development and design
- Experience in working with RF simulation tools (HFSS, CST) and MATLAB is strongly desired
- Deep understanding in handling antenna system designs with up to 25.000.000 mesh cells
- Deep knowledge in antenna array and interleaved theory
- Contributions in the IEEE community and knowledge of the latest research results in related fields
- High ability to influence antenna parameter through architecture proposals according to electrical properties needed for base station antennas
- Good understanding of cellular radio networks and extensive knowledge in radio and RF antenna technologies, products and related standards
- Demonstrated ability to solve complex system-level problems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and solid teamwork and leadership skills
- Self-motivated with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Accurate and to the point ability to take a stand and work thru towards key stakeholders
