**Postdoctoral Researcher (M/F/d)**
**(Salary level E 13 TV-L, 100**:
The position begins as soon as possible and ends on December 31, 2029.
The Institute for Migration Research and Intercultural Studies (IMIS) at Osnabrück University, the Center for Global Migration Research (CeMig) at the Georg August University Göttingen, the Center for Educational Integration (ZBI) at the University of Hildesheim, the Leibniz Institute for Educational Media, Georg Eckert Institute (GEI), Brunswig, and the Friedland Museum are cooperating in the Lower Saxony research area 'FuturMig' (2025-2029). 'FuturMig' deals with ideas and strategies for shaping the future of societies that are shaped by migration and diversity in political, media, and societal debates, fields of practice and migration research. 'FuturMig' is reviewing the academic state of the art, is planning the establishment of an international guest professorship and the development of a follow-up collaborative research initiative. 'FuturMig' focuses in particular on educational contexts - early childhood institutions, schools, universities, civil society initiatives, museums and memorials. As part of the project, a cross-university certificate is being developed to prepare (teacher training) students, teachers and practitioners in the best possible way to (reflexively) deal with migration-related diversity as a normality. Participation formats and interventions are tested and debates are held with social organizations and groups in a lab. The research space is coordinated by IMIS and cooperates closely with the Collaborative Research Center 'Production of Migration'.
**Your Duties**:
- Elaboration of the international state of research on migration-related futures
- Development and implementation of an own empirical research perspective
- Leading the conception and implementation of an international visiting professorship 'Futures of Migration' and its long-term establishment
- Planning and implementation of publications
- Collaboration in innovative public relations formats
- Collaboration on the joint projects
**Requirements**:
- Completed doctorate in social, educational or cultural studies of above-average quality
- Very good academic degree in a discipline of social, educational or cultural sciences
- Several years of experience in interdisciplinary and/or international and/or cross-location academic collaboration
- Excellent knowledge of (reflexive) migration studies
- Excellent English language skills
**Additional Qualifications**:
- A keen interest in social theory issues
- Very good German language skills
