About you and this role

We are looking for you, an ambitious bachelor's/master's student, to support our MSP DCG Pipeline by doing an internship project in leakage volume and territorial leakage distribution analysis for feedstock pipeline. The preferred location for this position is Böhlen (Germany), but we are also willing to consider Schkopau (Germany).

Project description

The Feedstock Pipeline RRB is one of the main supply routes for raw materials for the plants in DCG. Despite high safety standards and a high level of integrity, damage to this pipeline cannot be ruled out. To take measures to protect people and the environment, it is necessary to determine the leakage volume and territorial leakage distribution in case of a leakage.

For this internship, we offer a flexible working model with the opportunity to work from home occasionally.

**Responsibilities**:

- Calculate leakage rates and volumes based on defined scenarios
- Determine and analyze territorial leakage distribution on land and in rivers
- Determine based on the distribution when LEL is reached and how large the safe distance is

**Qualifications**:

- You are currently studying for a bachelor's/master’s degree in process engineering or similar
- You have a good working knowledge of English and preferably German

Preferred Skills
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams
- Good communication skills are important
- Reading and interpreting maps and profiles; working with Geographic Information Systems
- Independent working style

Additional notes

You can start between April and October in 2024 for a period of 3-6 months (exact timing to be discussed)
