Summary
We are looking for a “Head of Mechanical Components (f/m/d)” for the “Mechanical Components” department at the Ulm site as soon as possible.
The Mechanical Components department manufactures mechanical components using milling, sheet metal processing and plastic technologies, joins components using various bonding, soldering and welding processes, paints components and carries out assembly activities.
Your Tasks- Planning and development of personnel requirements and personnel deployment for approx. 40 employees- Cooperation in the strategic orientation of the Mechanical Components department and its consistent implementation- Evaluation and decision regarding “make or buy” and awarding contracts to suppliers / extended workbench- Improving profitability and focusing on core competencies- Development and introduction of new production concepts- Continuous identification, planning and implementation of production optimizations and process improvements- Preparation of personnel and resource planning as well as budget and investment planning- Responsibility for order processing- Ensuring delivery performance in terms of deadlines, costs and quality- Participation in the review/evaluation of planning data and in internal production project reviews- Collaboration in the acquisition and preparation of quotations for new production orders
Your Profile- Completed studies in mechanical engineering, production engineering, industrial engineering or similar- Several years of experience in project management-
- Very good knowledge of the requirements of mechanical production, design and development- Comprehensive knowledge of the value-adding factors of mechanical production- Independent, structured working style, coordination and integration skills, assertiveness and organizational talent- Strong communication skills, sense of responsibility and ability to cooperate- Entrepreneurial thinking, strong business judgment and strong customer orientation- Business fluent German and good English skills
