**Wir suchen einen begeisterten Battery Scientist, der mit uns gemeinsam die Zukunft der Energie und Mobilität prägt. Haupt-Herausforderung wird die KI-basierte Lebensdauerprädiktion von Lithium-Ionen Zellen.**

**Motivation**:
Lithium-Ionen-Batterien stellen in Elektrofahrzeugen die teuerste Komponente dar und sind zugleich verschiedensten Umgebungsbedingungen und Belastungsszenarien ausgesetzt. Diese verursachen mit der Zeit komplexe Alterungsmechanismen, die zu einer Verringerung der entnehmbaren Kapazität und damit einer Abnahme der Fahrzeugreichweite führen. Um dies zu verhindern werden Batteriemanagementsysteme (BMS) benötigt, die mit einer möglichst genauen Abschätzung des Batteriezustandes über die gesamte Lebensdauer den optimalen Betrieb des Energiespeichers ermöglichen. Neuartige Diagnosefunktionen auf dem BMS sollen über die Integration sogenannter EIS-Platinen in das BMS untersucht werden, die eine elektrische Impedanzspektroskopie im Fahrzeugbetrieb ermöglichen. Auf Grundlage dieser neuen sowie weiterer bereits im BMS zur Verfügung stehender Felddaten kann mit Hilfe von KI-basierten Ansätzen ein initiales Batteriemodell an das individuelle Kundenverhalten iterativ angepasst und während des Betriebes aktualisiert werden. In diesem Zusammenhang ist insbesondere der Einsatz des sogenannten Föderalen Lernens von Interesse, bei dem lokal optimierte KI-Modelle einer gesamten Flotte von Elektrofahrzeugen genutzt werden, um die Genauigkeit der Einzelmodelle zu verbessern und dabei den Datenschutz der Fahrzeughalter zu wahren. Dies erfordert als Grundvoraussetzung die Optimierung der entwickelten Methoden für den hardwarenahen Einsatz, wodurch der praktische Einsatz von Edge-KI in Steuergeräten untersucht werden soll.

**Dein Profil**:
Du bringst ein hohes Interesse an den aktuellen Entwicklungen im Bereich von Batteriesystemen für Elektromobilität mit. Deinen Masterabschluss in einer technischen Fachrichtung, wie zum Beispiel Maschinenwesen, Informatik oder Elektrotechnik, hast Du mit guten Noten abgeschlossen. Erfahrungen in der wissenschaftlichen Programmierung und KI-Modellierung, insbesondere dem Deep Learning, gehören zu Deinem Repertoire. Grundlagenwissen über Lithium-Ionen-Batterien und auch dem Themenbereich der elektrochemischen Impedanzspektroskopie (EIS) sind dir sehr gut bekannt. Du bist in der Lage, komplexe Themenstellungen zu verstehen, um sie strukturiert und organisiert anzugehen und gefundene Ergebnisse nach wissenschaftlichen Standards zu veröffentlichen.

**Deine Herausforderung**:
Du untersuchts im Rahmen des Projektes „LiBRA“ (Lithium-Ion Battery Real-Time Analytics) zusammen mit einem BMS-Hersteller neuartige Batteriemanagementsysteme mit EIS Platinen für die elektrochemischer Impedanzspektroskopie im Elektrofahrzeug. Die damit erhobenen Felddaten sollen verwendet werden, um mit Methoden der künstlichen Intelligenz eine iterative Batteriemodellparametrierung über die Lebensdauer zu ermöglichen. Durch Konzepte wie das Föderale Lernen können die KI-Konzepte flottenübergreifend zur Modelloptimierung verwendet werden, ohne den Austausch von sensitiven Daten zu erfordern. Du wirst die Ergebnisse für Kunden und Entscheidungsträger so aufbereiten, dass daraus Handlungsempfehlungen ersichtlich werden. Mit deinem Forschungsbeitrag wirkst du aktiv an der Entwicklung von Batteriespeichersystemen für den automobilen Einsatz der nächsten Generation mit, wobei dir hinsichtlich deiner Forschungskarriere viele Pfade offenstehen.

Das ist besonders relevant, wenn Du später deine eigenen Ideen verwirklichen und ausgründen willst, wozu wir dir alle Möglichkeiten bieten. Du kannst an einem Thema forschen und promovieren, für das Du brennst. Durch die Zusammenarbeit mit einem BMS Hersteller im Automotive Bereich bereitest Du dich optimal auf zukünftige Aufgaben in diesem Bereich vor. Deine berufliche und private Weiterentwicklung liegt uns sehr am Herzen und wird aktiv gefördert.

Das Electric Vehicle (EV) Lab des Lehrstuhls für Fahrzeugtechnik behandelt in drei Teams Themen rund um die Elektromobilität - von Antriebsstrangkomponenten wie der Hochvoltbatterie über die Fahrzeugintegration bis zur Einbindung der Fahrzeuge in Mobilitäts
