Wir suchen einen begeisterten Battery Scientist, der mit uns gemeinsam die Zukunft der Energie und Mobilität prägt. Haupt-Herausforderung wird die KI-basierte Parametrierung von Digitalen Zwillingen von Lithium-Ionen Zellen.

**Motivation**:
Mit der steigenden Nachfrage nach Elektrofahrzeugen geht ein stark erhöhter Testbedarf einher, um die Sicherheit und Lebensdauer von Batterien zu bewerten. Hierbei sind insbesondere langwierige Alterungstests anfällig für Fehler, wodurch die Datenqualität massiv beeinträchtigt werden kann. Aus diesem Grund zielt das dieser Stellenausschreibung zu Grunde liegende Forschungsprojekt darauf ab, die Datenqualität und Transparenz im Testprozess mittels eines digitalen Zwillings zu verbessern. Hierbei kommen KI-basierte Methoden zum Einsatz, um Anomalien, Hardware
- und Messfehler direkt zu detektieren und die Auswirkungen auf die Messreihe durch entsprechende Gegenmaßnahmen zu minimieren. Außerdem soll durch die Integration eines KI-basierten Alterungsmodells im digitalen Zwilling die Verringerung der entnehmbaren Kapazität und damit die Abnahme der Fahrzeugreichweite in Folge von komplexen Alterungsmechanismen prädiziert werden. Dieses soll auch in Kombination mit einem Batteriesystemmodell genutzt werden, um die Alterung auch auf Batteriesystemebene vorhersagen zu können. Auf diese Weise soll untersucht werden, ob Zeit und Kosten bei der Durchführung von Lebensdauertests auf Systemebene gesenkt und die Qualität der Messergebnisse erhöht werden kann.

**Dein Profil**:
Du bringst ein hohes Interesse an den aktuellen Entwicklungen im Bereich von Batteriesystemen für Elektromobilität mit. Deinen Masterabschluss in einer technischen Fachrichtung, wie zum Beispiel Maschinenwesen, Informatik oder Elektrotechnik, hast Du mit guten Noten abgeschlossen. Erste Erfahrungen in der Anwendung von KI-basierten Methoden in der wissenschaftlichen Programmierung und Modellierung sowie im Einsatz eines digitalen Zwillings hast Du bereits gesammelt. Du bist in der Lage, komplexe Themenstellungen zu verstehen, um sie strukturiert und organisiert anzugehen.

**Deine Herausforderung**:
Im Forschungsprojekt „TwinBat“ untersuchst Du in Zusammenarbeit mit einem Batterietestdienstleister Methoden zur Prädiktion der Alterung von Batteriesystemen für den automobilen Bereich. Hierfür entwickelst Du Modelle für einen digitalen Zwilling der Batterie auf Zell
- und Systemebene, welche über KI-basierte Modellansätze iterativ parametriert werden. Auf diese Weise erforscht Du, inwiefern durch den Einsatz eines digitalen Zwillings im Testumfeld die Alterung des Batteriesystems prädiziert und kostenintensives Testing auf der Systemebene eingespart werden kann. Die Forschungsergebnisse wirst Du im internationale Expertenumfeld diskutieren und für Entscheidungsträger so aufbereiten, sodass daraus Handlungsempfehlungen und Einsparpotentiale ersichtlich werden. Mit deinem Forschungsbeitrag wirkst Du aktiv an der Entwicklung und dem Verständnis von Batteriespeichersystemen für den automobilen Bereich der nächsten Generation mit, wobei dir hinsichtlich deiner Forschungskarriere viele Pfade offen stehen.

Durch die Zusammenarbeit mit einem Batterietestdienstleister im Automotive Bereich bereitest Du dich optimal auf zukünftige Aufgaben in diesem Bereich vor. Deine berufliche und private Weiterentwicklung liegt uns sehr am Herzen und wird aktiv gefördert.

**Über uns**:
Das Electric Vehicle (EV) Lab des Lehrstuhls für Fahrzeugtechnik behandelt in drei Teams Themen rund um die Elektromobilität - von Antriebsstrangkomponenten wie der Hochvoltbatterie über die Fahrzeugintegration bis zur Einbindung der Fahrzeuge in Mobilitäts
- und Energiesysteme. Wir verbessern die Effizienz, Nachhaltigkeit und Wirtschaftlichkeit von Elektrofahrzeugen, indem wir die Integration von Komponenten bis hin zu ganzen Mobilitätssystemen durch Praxis
- und Labortests sowie hochentwickelte Simulationen optimieren und beschleunigen. Gewonnene Forschungsergebnisse publizieren wir nicht nur auf zahlreichen Konferenzen und in Journals, sondern stellen unsere Software auch Open Source zur Verfügung, um den Stand der Wissenschaft stetig zu erweitern.
