Für unser Team Content Conversion Services innerhalb der Book Production am Standort Berlin suchen wir einen engagierten, neugierigen und offenen Production Editor, der professionell und tatkräftig die Steuerung und Weiterentwicklung der Buchherstellung in der Vorstufe unterstützt. In dieser Position berichten Sie an den Senior Manager Content Conversion Services und sind Teil eines vielfältigen, erfahrenen sowie jungen dynamischen Teams. Die Stelle ist vorest auf 2 Jahre befristet.

**IHRE AUFGABEN**:

- Technische Prüfung von Buchmanuskripten entsprechend der Produktkonzeption inkl. kalkulatorischer Prüfung und Neukalkulation
- Herstellerische Beratung von Lektorat und Urhebern
- Beauftragung und Steuerung der Produktionsschritte (Copy Editing, Bildbearbeitung, konventioneller und halbautomatischer Satz, Indexing, Publikationsdaten bis hin zur Online-Veröffentlichung sowie Rückkonvertierung)
- Terminplanung, Koordination und Optimierung von Korrekturläufen
- Technische sowie visuelle Qualitätssicherung und Kostenkontrolle der Produkte und Metadaten
- Unterstützung bei der herstellungsbezogenen Analyse zur Automation der Manuskriptvorstrukturierung sowie der Satzumsetzung mit unterschiedlichen Dateneingangsformaten

**IHR PROFIL**:

- Wir suchen ein offenes, vielfältiges und wissbegieriges Teammitglied, dass im besten Fall schon Erfahrung in der Buchherstellung hat
- Wenn Sie dazu noch ein abgeschlossenes Studium der Buch-/Medienproduktion oder eine vergleichbare Ausbildung haben, ist das von Vorteil
- Umgang mit Formatvorlagen und Kenntnisse der Standards im wissenschaftlichen Publizieren
- Aufgaben wie Datenstrukturierungs
- und Satzprozesse für verschiedene Manuskriptformate (DOC, TEX, XML) sowie gängige Satz
- und Grafikprogramme, XML-Editoren und deren Datenformate für Print
- und Onlineprodukte sind Ihnen vertraut
- Eine ziel
- und terminorientierte, strukturierte sowie analytische Arbeitsweise ist uns wichtig
- Sichere Kommunikation (auf Deutsch und Englisch)
