Group Leader and Postdoctoral Research Associate (f/m/d)

on development and expansion of hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells (HSPCs) from pluripotent stem cells (humans and mouse), and on disease modeling with induced pluripotent stem cells (iPS cells).

The fulltime positions (38,5 h/week) starts as soon at possible. The Group Leader position is immediately available and for 3 years with the possibility of a permanent position. The Postdoc position is immediately available for 2 years with the possibility of extension.

**Your Responsibility**
- have experience in isolation, gene transfer and gene editing, cultivation and characterization of human and mouse HSPCs
- generate iPS cells for modeling human hematopoietic diseases
- be familiar with the design, supervision, and interpretation of preclinical (Xeno)transplantation studies for studying human and mouse HSPCs
- have a high intrinsic motivation to translate findings into novel cell-based therapies or personalized medicine
- hold experience cell culture and molecular cloning.
- generate iPS cells from patient samples and set up iPS cell differentiation systems.
- set-up preclinical models based on compound screening.
- show a strong commitment to work independently and to acquire novel techniques and methodologies

**Excellent competence in writing and communication in English (Level C2) is required, ideally also in German.**
