**Position 1: Experimental Platforms for 6G MAC Prototyping**:

- development of real-time 6G experimental platform
- design, implementation, and testing of real-time MAC schemes for resilient and adaptive 6G massive-connectivity

**Position 2: Environment-Aware Architectures & Radio Resource Management**:

- design and evaluation of algorithms and protocols for environment-aware 6G RRM
- focus on distributed networked sensing for supporting intelligent RRM for 6G mobile networks

**Your Profile**:
**For Position 1**:

- holding or expected to obtain a PhD degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or other related disciplines
- strong background in wireless access technologies (Wi-Fi/LTE/5G), with focus on Layer 2+
- hands-on experience programming SDR/FPGA platforms
- very solid programming/scripting skills (e.g. C/C++, Python, Matlab)
- prior research work with wireless network testbeds and performing link-level measurements is a plus
- research experience in millimeter-wave and MIMO systems/networks is a plus
- quick comprehension and excellent analytical skills
- ability to pursue independent research as well as collaborate in a team
- excellent written and communication skills in English

**For Position 2**:

- holding or expected to obtain a PhD degree (or equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or other related disciplines
- strong background in wireless access technologies (Wi-Fi/LTE/5G), with focus on Layer 2+
- research experience in wireless network analysis and simulation, with focus on capacity/interference modelling and/or resource management
- hands-on experience with wireless network simulators, e.g. ns-3
- solid programming skills (e.g. C/C++, Matlab)
- research experience in joint sensing & communication networks, situational awareness, radio environment maps (REM) is a plus
- research experience in millimeter-wave beam management and MIMO systems is a plus
- quick comprehension and excellent analytical skills
- ability to pursue independent research as well as collaborate in a team

**Your Duties and Responsibilities**:

- You will work on cutting-edge research related to future wireless systems.
- You will take over the scientific coordination in parts of a research project.
- You will help in our teaching activities (e.g. Tutorials, Exercises, Labs and helping B.Sc and M.Sc. studnets with their thesis projects)
- You will contribute to writing scientific publications in high-impact journals and present research results to high-profile international and national conferences.

**What We Offer**:
The position is to be filled at the earliest possible date and offered for a fixed term of two years.
The fixed-term employment is possible as it constitutes one of the fixed-term options of the Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz (German Act on Fixed-term Scientific Contracts).
This is a full-time position.
The salary is based on the German public service salary scale (TV-L).
The position corresponds to a pay grade of EG 13 TV-L.
