- You are an expert regarding Nonferrous Metals and would like to support our Category Sourcing strategies?

We are currently looking for our future** Category Purchaser (M/F/d) Nonferrous Metals **based in Blieskastel, Karlsruhe or Obernai for a permanent contract.

Based on a deep understanding of the company vision and deriving global sourcing mission, the **Category Purchaser (M/F/d) **will support the Category Sourcing strategies for Nonferrous Metals (Copper, Brass, Bronze, Aluminium) to provide a competitive advantage throughout sourcing and leveraging local & European supply markets.

**Your mission**
- You immediately respond to unforeseen supply failures, working with suppliers to avoid supply chain interruptions
- You are responsible for the development and maintenance of the Supplier Panel for defined categories, including continuous assessments of any risks derived from containing suppliers and/or related markets
- You analyze, develop and implement best practice sourcing techniques to the assigned category portfolio, and compare and analyze aforementioned techniques with best-in-class companies

**Your profile**
- You have got an university degree in business studies, preferably with a purchasing-specific focus or a comparable qualification
- You offer more than two years’ experience in an adequate function closely acting with vendors and/or suppliers, preferably within the nonferrous industries
- You have a proven track record in development and implementation of global procurement strategies, supplier evaluation and market intelligence
- Your good understanding of production processes and technologies of assigned categories, gives you the ability to understand value streams, cost drivers and how to break down cost structures.
- You are able to negotiate in English, German and/or French language skills are a plus.
- You have got interdisciplinary and intercultural competence
- You are flexible and open to travel nationally/internationally to suppliers and to Hager plants (approximately 5% of working time)
- You are familiar to work within an international and multi-cultural environment
- You are team oriented and have excellent written and oral communication skills
