offers a position as

**Research Associate / PhD Student / Postdoc** (M/F/x)***

starting **as soon as possible**. The position is limited to three years. The period of employment is
governed by the Fixed Term Research Contracts Act (Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz - WissZeitVG).
The position either comprises 100% of the fulltime weekly hours (as a postdoc) or 75% of the fulltime
weekly hours (as a PhD Student). The position aims at obtaining further academic qualification (usually
PhD / habilitation thesis). Balancing family and career is an important issue. The full-time postdoc

The research focus of the Chair is on non-linear partial differential equations, variational methods and
mathematical modeling in continuum mechanics. Periodic and stochastic homogenization is one of
the main topics of the chair. It is involved in various research projects, including the interdisciplinary
interdisciplinary coordinated programs._ _

**Tasks**: You will be actively involved in the research activities of the Chair of Applied Analysis, especially
in the field of homogenization of partial differential equations and/or the analysis of variational
in the field of mathematics._ _

**Requirements**: You should- have an above-average university degree (Master) and - if applicable
- a PhD degree in
- have sound expertise in the analysis of partial differential equations and variational problems;_ _
- and be able to carry out teaching tasks in German and English._ _
- In addition, the following skills are desirable:_ _
- knowledge in one or more of the following areas: homogenization, regularity theory for partial

differential equations, mathematical continuum mechanics;_ _
- a strong interest in interdisciplinary work;_ _
- proven skills in writing scientific papers._ _

Postdoctoral applicants should also have an above-average PhD in the field of mathematics. Please
