In the newly established Institute for „Organizational Design and Collaboration Engineering“ (endowed by Tempowerk, a Hamburg-based Technology Center) we conduct research and teaching in the areas of organizational design and collaboration engineering. We focus on the explanation and design of structures, systems, and processes to promote collaboration and innovation across disciplinary and organizational boundaries, specifically:
- Inter
- and intraorganizational cooperation for competitiveness and innovation
- Design of organizational structures, systems, technologies, and processes to facilitate collaboration
- Management of open and collaborative organizational systems and networks (e.g. technology clusters, innovation platforms)
- Creation, selection, and evaluation of ideas within, outside, and across organizations
- Methods for designing new business models, products, services, and technologies
As a researcher, you will be actively involved in the establishment and further development of the institute. Together we want to contribute with our research and teaching to foster cross-boundary collaboration and innovation.
YOUR TASKS
- Collaboration in challenging, empirical research projects and in cooperations with practice
- Supervision of courses
- Supervision of theses
- Presentation of research results at international conferences and publications in scientific journals
YOUR PROFILE
- Completed academic university studies, in particular in business administration, industrial engineering, mechanical engineering, business informatics, data science, business psychology, behavioral economics or in a comparable field of study
- Firm intention to pursue a doctorate
- Business fluent English and German, both written and spoken
- Enthusiasm for modern empirical research and innovative teaching
- Initial experience in empirical research methods, statistics, and programming skills (e.g., R, Stata, Python) are an advantage
